Life in Congleton

Congleton is a pretty town, packed full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants but is also well served by the major supermarkets and high street brands.

For sports lovers, this town is a gem, whatever you are into. Not only is it home to one of the oldest recorded rugby union clubs in the country, Congleton RUFC, it also has a football team, two cricket clubs and two golf clubs too.

For outdoor lovers, Astbury Mere is less than a 15 minute walk away where you can enjoy fishing or sailing on the Mere. Nearby Congleton Park is perfect for walkers, runners and nature enthusiasts as well as the odd picnic or two. There is a paddling pool nearby that is open in the summer months, and the stunning Tudor property, Little Moreton Hall, is less than 4 miles away.

Culturally, this small town has a big heart. Congleton is a thriving town with facilities such as the Daneside Theatre, a town choir and museum. The town also hosts an annual food and drink festival and a nationally renowned jazz and blues festival.

Spen View is just a short drive to the M6, making commuting to Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington or Stoke-on-Trent incredibly easy. Congleton railway station also offers regular train services to Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent.
